Rewined’s sommelier collection features four candles developed in collaboration with wine experts inspired by the fragrance notes of their favorite pours.
Ignite the Senses
Rewined has uncorked a limited edition series of candles crafted alongside four sommeliers, who lent their noses to the scents. Bethany Heinze of Vern’s is behind a candle inspired by orange wine, with notes of blood orange, dried apricot, chamomile, and other aromatic herbs. Matthew Conway of The Tippling House developed a syrah candle with hints of plum, blackberry, peppercorn, and oakwood. Other candles in the series represent gamay and nebbiolo. Rewined candles have been handmade in Charleston since 2009, when founder Adam Fetsch had the idea to to use recycled wine bottles as vessels for candles. [rewinedcandles.com]
About Time
Collectors of luxury watches, handbags, sneakers, and sunglasses can find new and pre-loved designer brands including Burberry, Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Goyard, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Rolex, and Nike at Timeless, which opened on King Street in late 2023. Owners Josh Kilgore and Adam Patrick started selling high-end sneakers while they were students at the University of South Carolina. Meet St. John executive vice president of design Enrico Chiarparin when he visits the knit brand’s Charleston Place boutique on March 9. Recently appointed to the head designer role, Chiarparin’s first collection with St. John debuted this spring. Previously, the designer worked in Europe and the US with brands such as James Perse, Calvin Kein, Donna Karen, and Prada. Shoppers can enjoy a glass of bubbly and hors d’oeuvres, mingle with Chiarparin, and get a preview of the fall 2024 collection. Call to book a personal shopping appointment.
