New York lifestyle brand LoveShackFancy opened on King Street in December.

Love is all Around

Charlestonians flocked to LoveShackFancy when it opened its doors on King Street late last year, posting pics on Instagram of pink blooms and balloons spilling out of the storefront. The New York-based clothing brand, which launched in 2013, debuted Victorian-inspired dresses, ruffled mini skirts, and cardigan sweaters, popular with teenagers, college students, and their mothers. Look for embroidered “College of Charleston” sweatshirts and matching mommy-and-me patterns, as well as vintage-inspired home decor. A small garden behind the store will be available later this year for hosting birthday parties, teas, and other soirees. [218 King St., loveshackfancy.com]

Open House

Shoppers can browse interior designer Megan Molten’s warehouse to purchase coastal-inspired art and decor she uses in her clients’ homes. After receiving positive feedback on social media posts of her new home’s interiors, the former health-care sales representative launched her design firm and online store in 2018, quickly becoming known for a bright, airy, and modern aesthetic. At her shoppable warehouse that opened in Mount Pleasant, you’ll find local artwork, throw pillows, vintage rugs, kitchen accessories, picture frames, faux greenery, children’s room decor, and more. Molten’s new design studio with her demo kitchen and fabric library is right next door. [543 Long Point Rd., Mount Pleasant, meganmolten.com]

In the Moment

Founded in 2015 with the idea that self-care is a necessity, not a luxury, Los Angeles’s The Now is expected to bring a minimalist, nature-inspired aesthetic and reasonably priced massages to Mount Pleasant this month. Clients can choose between three signature services—“The Now,” ”The Stretch,” and “The Healer”—and add-on enhancements, such as “calm balm,“ herbal heat therapy, and ”fresh eyes.” The Now studio also features its own body-care line, including ”refresh”eye masks, hemp body lotion, and a signature jasmine coconut candle. Look for grand opening promotions and membership pricing. [1421 Shucker Cir., Mount Pleasant, thenowmassage.com]
