Take part in Lowcountry Local First’s series of “cash mobs” supporting independent stores in the tricounty area’s walkable commercial districts as part of the nonprofit’s 10th annual Shop Local season. Go on a holiday shopping spree on Main Street, Summerville from 1 to 4 p.m. on December 4 and Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant on December 11. The “Buy Local, Feel Good Fests” conclude with a happy hour celebration, and shoppers who submit their receipts have the chance to win raffle prizes. Athens, Georgia’s Metal + Petal interior design firm is expanding to Charleston, opening a studio in The Refinery. Founded in 2016 by husband-and-wife duo Graham and Jade Joyner, Metal + Petal is known for melding modern and traditional and Southern and European styles.
