8 oz. wide egg noodles
4 oz. (1 stick) salted butter
6 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup golden raisins
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the topping:
1 cup corn flake crumbs
1 cup brown sugar
2 oz. (½ stick) salted butter, melted
Preheat the oven to 350℉ and butter an 8 x 12-inch baking dish. Cook the egg noodles in a large pot of boiling salted water until tender. Drain and add butter and set aside. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs. Add the sour cream, cottage cheese, sugar, and milk and stir until combined. Add the raisins. Add this mixture to the noodles. Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish.
In a separate bowl, combine the topping ingredients. Sprinkle over the kugel. Bake until set and topping is golden brown, approximately one hour. Cover with aluminum foil if the top starts to get too dark.
