Heather’s Mom’s Vienna Crescent Cookies

INGREDIENTS: 

1 cup salted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
¼ tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup finely grated pecans & walnuts
Confectioners sugar 

DIRECTIONS: 

Preheat oven to 300°F. 

Place butter and sugar in a bowl and combine until creamy. Add flour, salt, vanilla, and nuts and mix until well-blended. Shape into crescents using a slightly rounded teaspoon of dough for each. Place crescents about one-inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake 18 to 20 minutes. Remove from oven, allow crescents to cool for one minute, and sprinkle with confectioners sugar. Turn over and sprinkle other side with confectioners sugar. Cool completely and store in an airtight container at room temperature.
