Spa Day

Get your skin party-ready for holiday festivities or take a break from the season’s hustle and bustle at Woodhouse Spa’s new Charleston location in the Wentworth Mansion. There, hotel guests, as well as locals, can enjoy a signature hydrafacial for a youthful glow, a ”Calming Retreat” massage that blends several techniques for the ultimate relaxation, or the three-and-a-half hour ”Digital Detox” package, in addition to seasonal treatments. The spa also offers a couples suite and private events for bridal parties or girls’ weekends. Owner Kim Powell opened a Woodhouse franchise in downtown’s Westedge development in 2020. She also owns locations in Mount Pleasant; Savannah, Georgia; and Franklin, Tennessee. [141 Wentworth St., www.woodhousespas.com]

Make it Personal

Customize a colorful bag or accessory with a selection of whimsical patches at Stoney Clover Lane’s new store on King Street. The brand—launched by sisters Kendall and Libby Glazer in 2009 when they were teenagers in Palm Beach, Florida—is a favorite among college students, as well as brides, young moms, and frequent travelers. Its versatile pouches, fanny packs, and backpacks can be decorated with an assortment of patches, including letters and other icons. Look for the ”Charleston” patch and the recently introduced Tiger & Eloise apparel. “Charleston is such a perfect fit for girls’ trips, bachelorette weekends, and anyone visiting for a fun getaway. But we also designed the space to feel like a neighborhood favorite—a place locals can pop into again and again to personalize something special or grab one of our exclusives,” Kendall said in a news release. New Digs

Local jewelry designer Laura Cohen has relocated her Little Bird boutique from Queen Street to a larger and more visible location near the intersection of King and Radcliffe streets. The former accountant’s minimalistic jewelry features carefully curated gems—including moonstones, turquoise, rose quartz, and pearls—many of which are believed to offer mood-boosting properties. The new space features a custom jewelry experience, as well as Imbali Charleston pajamas, She Biology skin care, and other clothing and self-care products. Cohen opened her first store on Queen Street in April 2024. [469 King St., www.littlebirdchs.com]
