After introducing their Tweedle Beedle children’s store in Summerville in March 2020, owners Daniel and Stephanie Button have opened a second location across from the theater at Mount Pleasant Towne Centre. Shoppers can find baby gear, such as car seats and strollers; books and toys; and heirloom gifts, as well as children’s clothing in sizes for newborns to tweens. Since opening in May, the boutique has hosted story times and a custom sunglasses event. Stephanie, a mother of two, says she hopes to create a supportive community for parents. Local jewelry designer Natalie Holst, known for her bold and whimsical adornments, has opened a Holst + Lee flagship store on State Street, relocating from her Broad Street space. The new boutique, which is twice as large as the previous location, will house Holst’s working studio and allow her to host more events. First Lady Jill Biden has sported her “Mesh Classic Gold Everything” bracelet, and her jewelry has been featured in national publications such as Allure, InStyle, and Oprah. The designer, who celebrated her brand’s 10th anniversary last year, says she’s always had a passion for color and pattern. Her latest “Serotonin” collection features cocktail-shaped earrings and bracelets and necklaces in bright oranges and blues with her signature magnetic clasp. [17 State St., holstandlee.com]
Destination Shopping
Shoppers looking for high-end jewelry can find two new stores within a store featuring Omega watches and David Yurman jewelry inside of Reeds‘ immense Mount Pleasant location. Customers can browse a 400-square-foot David Yurman branded boutique featuring similar inventory as they would find at a freestanding shop in a larger retail market, including classic cable styles, as well as the new ”Carlyle” collection. Longtime Reeds manager Ron Barnes says the Charleston location was selected for the in-store display because of its high volume of David Yurman sales. Reeds also has a new 300-square-foot area dedicated to Omega watches. The Swiss watch brand, known for its iconic ”Speedmaster” and “Seamaster” styles, is new to the Charleston store.
