The fashion influencer has launched a new website

This stylist has been an influencer in Charleston’s fashion scene for almost 20 years, first as a boutique owner, then as the costume buyer for Army Wives, and later as the blogger behind Charleston Shop Curator. Most recently, the entrepreneur has been focusing on her own brand, launching a new website, andreaserrano.com, to promote her styling, production, and content creation services. This month, you’ll find the multitalented Serrano spinning tunes at the Lip Sync for Lungs fundraiser benefiting the American Lung Association. Here, she shares what she’s eyeing for spring

Q What is your favorite piece in your closet?
A
If I had to pick one, it would be my Morph dress because it can be worn more than 60 different ways.

Q You did some DJing gigs before the pandemic and some Sunday afternoon live streams from your backyard over the summer. What’s your most-played song?
A
“I Feel For You” by Chaka Khan is my all-time favorite!

Q Tell us about your must-have skin and hair care products.
A
For my face, I like the “Detox“ charcoal mask from Motherland Essentials and any of the Maya Chia products, because they’re super moisturizing. To give my hair a lift, I use Oribe “Dry Texturizing Spray.”

Q You recently redecorated your home. Tell us about the custom designs you incorporated.
A
My favorite decorative elements are my bathroom wallpaper designed by my friend Julianne Taylor for Mitchell Black, valances made with Emily Daws Textiles, and a wall mural painted by Carrie Beth Waghorn.

Q What up-and-coming local designers do you have your eyes on?
A
Moon-Seed makes unique, modern, colorful jewelry at an affordable price. Also, local footwear brand Kheloni; the sandals are handmade in Greece.

Q Which spring trends are you looking forward to adding to your wardrobe?
A
Monochromatic looks, wide-leg pants, and ”daytime disco” [sequins during the day]. I recently bought a sequined Moto jacket from the new Portal resale shop. I also love these bermuda shorts from Hampden.

Q Do you have a go-to bag that you’re carrying right now?
A
My lavender leather tote by Beck, because I can throw everything in it and it’s easy access. Plus, it’s my favorite color.
