The Party:After weeks of lessons with professional “Big Chefs,” five youngster “Little Chefs” prepared a lavish dinner for guests at Halls Signature Events through Louie’s Kids, an organization that promotes wellness habits in young people to help fight obesity. Each Little Chef—with the help of Marc Collins of Circa 1886, Robyn Guisto of Halls Signature Events, Bob Cook of Edmund’s Oast, Will Fincher of the Obstinate Daughter, and Richard Plaistowe of Halls Management Group—prepared a course, which featured the likes of a coconut and corn bisque as well as an oxtail crepinette. For their hard work, the Little Chefs received cutting boards, and from Mayor Tecklenburg, honorary health ambassador pins.
Highlight: Former Little Chef Aiden LaFave spoke about how Louie’s Kids led to his weight loss and an internship at Halls Signature Events.
Overheard: “This is so special to these kids, to see people enjoying food they made.”
