The Party: In celebration of Charleston nonprofit Lowcountry Local First’s tenth anniversary, guests headed to the Cigar Factory office of Garden & Gun to honor ten Local Luminaries, leaders in the Charleston area who share the nonprofit’s dedication to supporting independent, local businesses. Director of Lowcountry Local First Jamee Haley paid personal homage to each individual, thanking him or her with recognition and stories of their commitment. Following the awards, guests mingled over charcuterie from Cru Catering and cocktails courtesy of Striped Pig Distillery while swaying to the smooth styling of a three-piece jazz band.
Highlight: Jamee Haley’s deliverance on the importance of buying locally sourced products in light of the tradition and culture of Charleston’s food and beverage scene
