What lifestyle bloggers Michael and Ian Stettner-Palacios are loving for the New Year

What lifestyle bloggers Michael and Ian Stettner-Palacios are loving for the New Year
January 2021

From what they're wearing to how they're practicing self care

The marketing professionals launched their lifestyle blog, I Love That For You, in 2018 to share their experiences as a same-sex couple, provide open arms to the LGBTQ+ community, and highlight food, fashion, and home décor—all with a little sass. In the past year, the pair got married just before the onset of COVID, designed stylish mask chains with Hermosa Jewelry, and introduced a line of ’90s-inspired clothing. This year, the Texas natives are planning to buy a home and launch a podcast. Here, Ian and Michael talk about winter styles they love and self-care

Q Tell us about your new clothing line, I Love That For You Fits.
A Ian:
It was born out of our love for ’90s fashion, loungewear, and using bleaching techniques to recreate pieces for a unique look. Our first collection features versatile items that work for lounging around the house or hopping on a Zoom call. Future collections will include children’s apparel and reworked vintage denim.

Q Where do you shop locally for clothing?
A Michael:
Half-Moon Outfitters is close to our hearts and has the latest trends. Vest weather is the best weather. As someone who is always hot, Patagonia’s “Down Sweater Vest” is perfect for regulating temperature while looking chic.
Ian: The Blundstone “500 Chelsea Boot” is a versatile, all-weather boot that stands the test of time.

Q Do you have a signature accessory?
A Michael:
These days, the mask chains we designed with Hermosa Jewelry have become a signature accessory, but a pair of Timberland “Premium Waterproof Boots” have always been a go-to for stomping through the winter weather.

Q You’re looking for a new house. How are you planning to decorate?
A Michael:
We are excited to start from scratch. We’re going for a minimal look, with neutral tones and oversized furniture. We have our eyes on a few pieces that would bring our aesthetic to life: the Modloft “Berkeley Dining Table” and Cult Classics Gallery paintings by Michael’s mother, Sheri Stettner.

Q What’s your favorite winter wardrobe item?
A Michael:
My favorite  is Nirvana Designs’ “Lou Neckwarmer.” It’s a fresh, stylish take on the scarf.
Ian: I’m stuck in a tie between my vintage L.L.Bean “Original Field Coat” and Arc’teryx “Rico Down Jacket.” Both are staples for enduring winter weather with style.
