Famed interior designer David Easton addresses Charleston International Antiques Show guests

How often do you get to dine with a man who’s been inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame, honored for Lifetime Achievement at London’s Design and Decoration Awards, and named among Architectural Digest’s Top 100 Talents in Architecture + Design a record 10 times? If your answer’s “not often,” snag a ticket to the Charleston International Antiques Show’s (CIAS) March 23 Luncheon Lecture, featuring speaker David Easton.

The designer, who founded his New York City firm in 1972, is known worldwide for his classically inspired, traditional interiors. At the Francis Marion Hotel luncheon, he’ll discuss “Timeless Elegance”—also the title of his 2010 book—sharing his thoughts on the future of antiques and design.

His advice to novice collectors? “Look, think, and dream before acting. Some pieces make you react and some don’t. In the end, it is about the visual value of the antique for your home.”

For a $75 ticket to Easton’s March 23 Luncheon Lecture, call (843) 723-1623 or visit historiccharleston.org.
